Acting Mayor Chiu said that combating climate change is a challenge for all people. This year’s Climate Action Exposition brings together the government, enterprises, academia, civil society, and other cross-border cooperation and inspires new forces for practicing climate action in exchanges, sharing, and working together to move toward net-zero emissions by 2050.
According to the Department of General Affairs, the Central Taiwan Regional Governance Platform, from the discussion of the group proposals of each issue group to the resolution of the staff group and the deputy director’s meeting, has added 55 new cases of cross-county and municipal cooperation and request for centralized assistance this year. Participants were enthusiastic in their discussions and hoped that the cross-county and city cooperation cases could be fully coordinated to demonstrate regional cooperation. In addition, regarding the request for central government assistance, it is hoped that the corresponding central government ministries will respond positively and kindly, and fully communicate and discuss with the local governments to create a win-win or even multi-win situation.
