New website allows public to search for infrastructure projects

At the Cabinet's weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Chen Chien-jen received a National Development Council briefing on an official website showcasing the highlights of the Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program. The premier said the website (https://fi.ndc.gov.tw) was created for regular citizens to gain a better understanding of the government's important achievements under the program in recent years. In particular, the website introduces 20 major areas of development that have yielded outstanding results and greatly impacted the lives of the public.

Premier Chen pointed out that since the government's initial passing of the Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program special budget in 2017, central ministries and local governments have coordinated to complete many future-oriented infrastructure projects through the program, achieving impressive results. These projects have brought comprehensive benefits across a number of areas including the economy, society and the environment. They have helped to promote more balanced regional development and improve people's quality of life, while gradually augmenting the various types of infrastructure needed for the future development of Taiwan's industries.
