The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) recently reported that the park's Investment Review Commission approved three companies to station into Technology Industrial Parks. Including two companies, Taiwan Carbon Credit Exchange and Primestar Medical Co., Ltd., will station into Kaohsiung Software Park(KSP), and Tanlucnc Co., Ltd. will station into Taichung Software Park(TSP). The total investment figures amounted to NTD 100 million and are expected to create about 40 job vacancies.
The Taiwan Carbon Credit Exchange was jointly established by the National Development Fund of the Executive Yuan and the Taiwan Stock Exchange and other government and private sectors. It encourages companies and governments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through carbon pricing and creates carbon reduction incentives through the economic effects brought by the carbon credit exchange to encourage companies' low-carbon technology innovation. The Taiwan Carbon Credit Exchange's main business projects include domestic carbon credit trading, foreign carbon credit trading and carbon consulting. In the future, the company will figure out the actual needs of local enterprises, cooperate with local governments to promote environmental education on net-zero emissions, handle carbon consultation and education promotion, and provide foreign carbon credit support and consulting services to assist enterprises responding to the international trends of carbon reduction and carbon neutrality of supply chains.
