The annual gathering of Taiwan’s agricultural products officially commenced on August 22 with the opening of the 2026 Central Taiwan Agricultural Marketing and Sales Exhibition at the Jioujiou Peak Hot Air Balloon Park in Nantou County. Featuring an immersive “Fruit and Vegetable Forest” exhibition area designed around the park’s unique characteristics, the event will run through August 30. On August 23, Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Li-shan visited the venue to encourage participating exhibitors and invited people from across the country to attend and make purchases, demonstrating their support for high-quality agricultural products and local agricultural development in Central Taiwan.
The exhibition features eight themed pavilions, including “Yunlin Select,” “Taste Nantou,” “Taichung Fresh,” “Hsinchu Breeze Market,” “Miaoli Delights,” “Changhua Premium Fresh,” “Beautiful Hsinchu County,” and “Happy Chiayi.” These pavilions highlight the distinctive characteristics of their respective regions and invite visitors to experience the rich agricultural specialties of Central Taiwan while witnessing Taiwan’s achievements in agricultural safety, smart farming, and sustainable transformation.
Magistrate Chang Li-shan stated that Yunlin is Taiwan’s foremost agricultural county, with a total agricultural output value reaching NT$94.8 billion, ranking first nationwide. Home to 20 townships and cities, Yunlin boasts pristine rural landscapes and abundant agricultural resources that have long been a source of pride for its residents. Benefiting from its unique geography of mountains and coastline, Yunlin produces a diverse range of agricultural specialties, including ractopamine-free pork products, Gukeng coffee, bamboo shoots, soy sauce and rice from Xiluo, Huwei, and Dapi, as well as eel and mullet roe from Kouhu. Each product represents the authentic flavors of Yunlin.
Magistrate Chang further noted that the Yunlin Select Pavilion brings together 16 certified Yunlin Select businesses and quality local brands. Participating exhibitors include the Xiluo Township Farmers’ Association with rice-based food products; Shengjia Store’s malt syrup; gourmet meal kits from Shenji Braised Pork Rice; bamboo shoot products from Bamboo Friends Tribe; coffee products from Shanhaiguan Coffee Estate; seasonal agricultural products from Moringa Garden and I Fresh Tribe; Yunlin Li Pork Rib Crisps; rice products from Yushan Rice Mill; sun-dried vegetable noodles from Wanyuan Noodle Shop; soy sauce and garlic vinegar from Minghe Soy Sauce Brewery; turmeric powder from Fengtian Trail; specialty gifts from local producers such as First Eel Wave in Kouhu featuring premium eel products; Yanman Craftsman; Li’s Mullet Roe; Shuncheng Oil Factory’s cooking oils; and distinctive meal kits from Master A-Guo Ginger Duck, among many others.
Acting Director of Agriculture Tsai Keng-yu welcomed visitors from across Taiwan to visit the Yunlin Select Pavilion at the exhibition through August 30. In addition to premium Yunlin products, visitors can also participate in various lucky-draw activities.
